Cassie wasn't sure what the deal was with that kid that the FBI had sent to act as a liaison. She had immediately started working with Ellison and Sandburg disrupting the plan to separate the two. Now they were bound together closer than ever.
Cassie wasn't pleased when AD Skinner had shown up to find Agent Davison. She couldn't take the chance that he would recognize her and give away her cover. A forensic head, sure that was what she was qualified for but she had always enjoyed the fieldwork. Following a case through to the end. She'd hoped that Ellison would be able to be manipulated into letting her tag along. He let Sandburg didn't he? So why shouldn't he let her? Big mistake, Ellison wasn't letting her get close at all. Cassie did have some luck with Sandburg, but not enough. That was why she began to follow the three of them. They were in Agent Davison's Jeep and were driving to a remote, wreaking yard. For what reason Cassie didn't know, but she had to stay back further than usual or Agent Davison or Ellison would pick up on her. Those two had an uncanny knack for knowing if they were being watched or followed. Was that the reason she was asked to take this job? To attempt to get close to Ellison or failing that close to Sandburg?
For what reason was she to get close to one of them? One thing Cassie learned since joining the Consortium was you don't ask too many questions or you might become the next test subject. Cassie shivered at that thought. She was really wary of Agent Davison, she had came from the X-files division that place was a thorn in the Consortium's side. Cassie moved closer quietly. When she tracked down the trio she was confused by what she saw. Megan was in front of Ellison and Sandburg. Her face showed intense concentration. The car in front of Agent Davison was shaking and starting to rise off of the ground. Just wait until she got back and made her report. Agent Davison was a telekinetic. She would prove useful. With her mind filled with thoughts of a promotion Cassie failed to notice the cars above her begin to rock, from the vibration of the car Agent Davison was causing to rise. They crashed down on her. Cassie didn't have a chance. Her body was never found.
