11:00pm Friday
'Man I'm tired I should try to sleep in my office and not drive' Blair thinks to himself
as he leaves his office and heads to his car.
He stops sensing someone behind him, Blair turns around only to be met a cloth filled with
chloroform.
'Where is he.' Jim thinks as he paces the loft. He reaches for the phone and tries Blair's
office. No answer. Jim tries Blair's
friends that he knows. None of them have seen him since his class let out at 6:00 PM and
then he went to his office to grade
papers. Jim thanks them and gets his keys to find Blair.
12:00am
Jim parks his truck near the Anthropology Bldg and looks for Blair's car. It's not there.
He goes to Blair's office just to check.
Nothing now a little knot of fear makes itself known to Jim. Jim looks at the spot that
Blair usually parks his car trying to find
clues. None. Just as he turns to get in the truck he sees a bracelet, one of Blair's
favorite. The little knot of fear gets bigger.
Jim gets the bracelet and gets in the truck, heading for the station.
3:00am Saturday
'man what a hangover I don't remember getting wasted last night, god Jim is going to kill
me.' Blair thinks as he comes
to only to find himself. Tied upright to a wall. A man upon hearing Blair's movements
walks over to him.
"you're the guy studying sentinels right?" the man asks
"no, I study tribal fertility rites" Blair answers still groggy.
*THUD* the man lands a heavy punch in Blair's abdomen taking the air from him.
"I'll ask again, are you the guy studying sentinels? By the way I have a long time to
get the right answer and I enjoy
my work." The man tells Blair with a look of glee in his eyes.
For some reason that last statement chills Blair to his core. "OK, yes I'm studying
sentinels. Why? What do you want
to know." Blair pants out.
"My employers want the one your studying now the one with all five senses. We just
need to know who." the man tells him.
"What do you mean" Blair asks "I don't know of a full sentinel I've only
found some with one or two heighten senses."
"Then that's too bad because we've got a test for your 'friend' and only a full
sentinel can pass it. See we know quite a bit
about these people if they won't work for us then they and you will die horrorable
deaths." the man says
"What do you mean what sort of test?" Blair asks not sure if he wants the
answer.
"Just a little near death experience. We have a body which is a close match for you.
We blow him and your car up enough
clues will survive that a full sentinel will figure out that you are really alive and
where you are. You can make it easier on
yourself and your friend if you tell us a name." The man says.
"Man, I told you I don't know about a full sentinel." Blair says
"Too bad just means we go with our plan and by the way we will find out. Just in case
your lying to us. Remember this."
the man says and starts to pummel in to Blair like he is a punching bag.
After 30 min the man leaves. Blair's body is numb, and Blair is unconscious.
In the next room the man enters and makes a phone call.
"Boss, this is Biff go ahead with the car. He's not talking." Biff says.
