As the rings disappeared into the ground Qui-Gon approached his Padawan. He stopped in front of Obi-Wan, "Your lightsaber was sure and true in my defense."

"Thank you my beloved master." Obi-Wan replied, before he could continue Colonel O'Neil cried out collapsing to the ground curled up clutching at his head.

"JACK!," Daniel cried out kneeling next to the older man, "What's wrong?"

"feels.. like.. head ..gonna explode ..slide show ..'m getting." Jack gritted out in pain.

Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan joined Daniel, who had pulled Jack's head onto his lap. "Daniel, the Force is rushing into the Colonel at a dangerous rate, even for a Jedi. We must act now. If this continues it will burn out his mind."

"What do I need to do?" Daniel didn't pause to consider any consequences he just freely offered any help he could provide.

"You will need to be our bridge into Jack's mind. You know him better, you only need to think about him." With Obi-Wan acting as guard and anchor to the two minds that were determined to save Colonel O'Neil.

Qui-Gon guided Daniel through the process of easing his way into another mind. Strengthening the bridge between the two souls. Slowly Qui-Gon showed Daniel how to block the surfeit of Force energy flowing into Jack and allow those energies that wouldn't be blocked to be spread between him and Jack. An unexpected side effect of that little trick was that all the men were able to see most of the images flowing through Jack's mind from the Ancients memory download.

=-Technological plans for the Stargate-=

"Your people were the creators of the Stargates. We could learn so much from you." An awed murmur from Daniel.

"Much of the Stargate knowledge has been lost to us,"  Qui-Gon said, "We would be learning along side of you."

=-Scientists meeting on a broad plain near the sea-=

"Is that here?" Daniel wondered.

"No, it reminds me of the ancient pictures of Coruscant." Obi-Wan said.

=-Jedi fighting other Jedi?-= Daniel turned a confused expression to the Jedi Master, "Qui-Gon?"

Qui-Gon shook his head, "This was the first of the Sith War battles"

"That's a Goa'uld fighting that Jedi!" Daniel shouted when he noticed one of the combatants had glowing eyes.

"Selket said that the Goa'uld were tools of the Sith." Qui-Gon explained, "Selket also implied that at first the Sith were in control of switching hosts. That's obviously changed."

=-Six symbols quickly flashed through their minds followed by a symbol of a blue diamond with 4 golden diamonds forming a sub-diamond at the top and 3 more golden diamonds at each corner.-= (see picture)

Both Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon looked at each other, "It couldn't be that simple could it Master?"

"The foundation stone of the cottage. It contains a carving similar to that image. It might be the symbol we need." Qui-Gon summarized. "Daniel we need to release the energy we've absorbed now. The danger to the Colonel  has passed." In a few moments with Daniel following Qui-Gon's instructions released the energy back into the Force.

"Call me Jack, Qui-Gon." Jack muttered, "you to Obi-Wan. Did ya fix what was wrong?"

"No Jack." Qui-Gon admitted. "the Healers on Coruscant would be best able to repair whatever happened to you."

"Well until we can get there don't let Carter or Teal'c know OK? They had enough troubles accepting what was happening when I was losing my mind to that mind download thing. If they thought I was still having problems from that…" Jack said. "So how are we getting to Coruscant any way? Ya guys got a ship hidden somewhere?"

"No we'll take the Stargate. Selket will face Republic charges and be restrained as not to allow the  a chance to escape."

"Thanks to you Jack we found the symbol." Daniel kissed Jack's forehead. "How do we test it though?"

"Master Yoda, of course. Obi-Wan are you up to it?"

"Of course Master anytime you are." The Padawan suggestively smirked. Jack and Daniel chuckled and Qui-Gon smiled back as he took Obi-Wan's hands and mentally reached across the void to the Temple.

//Master? Selket has been captured and we believe we can reach the temple via the Stargate.//

//Ahh good news this is, Qui-Gon. Seeking any information Master Mace was when he found a hidden tome 7 symbols it has to Trellis it says it leads.//

//Then test it we should Master Yoda.// Obi-Wan gently teased his grand master.

//humph, impudent you are. Much like your Master you are. Agree with you the council do. Open the ring from your end you will and send something through you shall.//

//Understood// Qui-Gon looked to Daniel who was cradling a dozing Jack in his arms. "Daniel, Master Yoda wishes to test the Stargate. Do you remember those symbols?"

"Yeah I do."

Qui-Gon handed Daniel a round rock that was nearby, "Good activate the Stargate and throw this  through and then deactivate it and they will send it back."

"Master if I may ask a question, what is it with you and rocks?" Obi-Wan asked, "Long story" He said to Daniel's questioning look. Daniel shrugged and entered the symbols into the DHD and threw the rock through and deactivated the stargate.

//Send me a rock Qui-Gon, you did?//

//Yes, Master.//

The Stargate came to life again, //take it back you shall.// the poor rock came back through the Stargate and bounced to a stop near Qui-Gon.
