Woody Gets A Buzz
By Melrae
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Buzz made his way to the back of the luggage car, where he found Woody
sitting in the space between a suitcase and the back of the car. "Hey cowboy. What
are you doing back here?"
"Thinkin'. Who's driving?" Woody asked as he watched the lights of the
city pass by.
"Jessie and Mr. Potato Head. So, are you regretting coming back?" Buzz
sat down next to him.
"No, I'm glad we were able to rescue Jessie and Bullseye. Think
they'll fit in at home?" Woody asked. "I kinda feel responsible for Jessie."
"Woody, you didn't do anything that Bo Peep is going to get mad at you
for, did you?" Buzz asked.
"What? Oh, no, no, Buzz, it's nothing like that. It's just that she
got let down really bad before she got to the guy that took me. It's more a brother thing
really."
"Good, because Bo Peep is enough competition for your time as it is.
Andy throwing you two together all the time. She's always the damsel in distress," Buzz
said, scooting a bit closer to Woody.
"Well, at least it's both of us rescuing her. She understands, you
know. About us. I told her after what happened at Sid's place."
"You told her, and you didn't tell me? I thought we weren't going to
let the others know. Especially after what Sid put us through. If it wasn't for you I
don't think I'd've made it." Buzz scooted away some.
"Buzz, I had to tell her something. She didn't understand why I was
with you all the time. She thought I was with the Barbies," Woody pleaded. He didn't
want to loose Buzz, not this way. Not after everything they'd been through in the years
since Spaceboy showed up. He thought Bo knew more than she let on about how he felt about
Buzz. After Sid's place he had needed someone to talk to, and Bo had been a shoulder to
cry on.
"Well, she obviously got the wrong idea about the 'nature' of our
relationship, since she asked me to give you something of a highly personal nature." Buzz was
sure that the kiss Bo had asked him to give Woody when they found him didn't mean what he
wanted it to.
"Really? What?" Woody asked, leaning in closer.
"Well, I think we should wait until we get home. Bo will want to give
it to you herself," Buzz said, leaning away from Woody, who kept leaning forward until the
space ranger was almost touching the floor.
Woody chucked. "You really don't know Bo that well, do you. If she
told you to do something when you found me then you really should do it." He kept
leaning forward until Buzz was on the floor. "Now," he whispered, looking into his friend's
cobalt eyes.
Buzz responded to the whispered command. He grabbed Woody's head
between his hands and proceeded to give Woody a kiss. It wasn't the simple kiss on the cheek
that Bo had asked him to give, but the kiss that his own heart and soul demanded that he
give Woody.
When Buzz grabbed his head, Woody knew that this wasn't anything that
Bo would have Buzz do . As the Space Ranger's lips began to press against his own, he
knew that Buzz had been longing for him as well. Woody encouraged Buzz to continue by
parting his lips slightly and bring his arms around Buzz's neck, hoping Spaceboy would
get the hint.
Buzz broke the kiss, looking at Woody in astonishment, "Woody? I -- I
never thought you'd... I mean what with Bo," Woody shut him up with a soul
rendering, plastic melting kiss.
Woody ended the kiss. "When we get home, Spaceboy, there's a place I
want to show you. I think you'll like it. It's private away, from the little toys. Bo's
the only one who knows about it." Woody grinned. "She'll probably be dragging Jessie
there too, but I'm sure we all can come to an arrangement."
"I hope so, Woody, because..." Just then the luggage car stopped and
Rex barreled over. "Guys, guys, we're here."
When Rex left, Buzz and Woody stood up. The space ranger gently tugged
the cowboy into his embrace. "Woody, I - I love you."
"Love you too, Buzz." Woody said kissing him quickly on the lips. "Now
we've got to get back to the room before Andy gets home. Everyone's going to have
questions. You with me?"
"Always."
