"So what will we do if that Scorpion army comes through this ring?" Obi-Wan queried.
"We play simple farmers who are stranded here." Qui-Gon began to clear the dishes.
"Subterfuge, Master?"
"The truth from their point of view."

<<<Two months later>>>
"Padawan in this lesson you must follow my directions. Until you can perform this task. I will not allow you to continue." Qui-Gon said softly into the younger man's ear. He was draped around Obi-Wan. His larger hands surrounding his Padawan's smaller ones.
"Master, I think this task is beyond my abilities. Shouldn't we start with something simpler?"
"No, you will find that what you are doing now is a basic task." Qui-Gon nudged the body in front of him slightly.
Qui-Gon guided Obi-Wan's hand over to the small tub and dipped both their hands into it. "Just a little bit of this things are beginning to stick a bit. You don't want that to happen."
"I'm beginning to realize why I've always had problems with this. I'm far too impatient. I just want it over and done with. You really can't do that can you?" Obi-Wan rocked in time with his Master's movements.
"No you can't, that is the main purpose of this lesson. You can't just enjoy the finished product. You have to learn to take your time in the creation. I believe you can put the dough in the bowl."
As Obi-Wan prepared the dough for raising, the ground began to rumble and shake. Looking out the window both men saw the inner ring begin to move and the chevrons moving and lighting up. They saw the middle of the ring kwhooshing outward like in the vision.
"Master, it's happening isn't it?" Obi-Wan asked beginning to feel the adrenaline flow through his body. Every instinct ready to meet what ever came through the middle of the ring. The vision of the destruction of the Jedi Temple flashing through his mind.
"Remember, Padawan. We are nothing but simple farmers stranded on this planet."
"I remember Master." He said reluctantly.
Instead of the army they expected to come through the ring there was only a large droid. "Master, that doesn't look like it came from that scorpion army. It's too crude. Does that mean that others use this ring as well?"
"Anything is possible. I'd say that is more an exploration droid than anything else." Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan continued the day's chores. A short while after the droid came through the ring the shimmering curtain vanished.
