Sam noticed Jack and Daniel beginning to whisper and distracted their hosts by asking about any medicinal plants that Dr. Fraiser, the base's chief doctor might be interested in.

 Jack whispered back, "You think it might make them change their minds about risking a trip to their elders?"

 "It can't hurt, the worst that can happen is they'll say no. They really have to know what's out there. This is a possible gate that no Goa'uld has ever gone through if they stumble through it. It could mean annihilation for these people. I haven't seen any sort of weapons other than farm equipment." The anthropologist said.

 "Alright Daniel you made your point here goes nothing." Jack waited until their hosts had finished discussing the medical plants of the area. "Qui-Gon you should know that we aren't the only people who travel through the Stargate. We are one of five beings  that we know about that use the gate for peaceful purposes. There is another, a sixth called the Goa'uld they're with a few exceptions not nice people. They would conquer your world plunder its resources, and take your people for slaves. We really need to let your elders know about them. You should really rethink that trip to see your elders."
